conquers the Strait of Gibraltar
On June 13, Weston Assistant Coach Bob Burrow swam the Strait of Gibraltar
with a friend, Grant. The pair completed the approximate 10.7-mile swim
in 4 hours and 21 minutes. Congratulations, Bob!
MAY 2016
5/15/16: Barenholtz, Critchlow, and Milligan
recognized as NISCA Academic All Americas
Danielle Barenholtz (headed to Syracuse), Austin Critchlow (on his way to Stanford),
and Eric Milligan (Harvard-bound) were all named by NISCA as Academic All Americas.
To receive this honor, candidates must maintain a 3.75 CUM on a 4.0 scale,
and score points at the State Championships.

4/13/16: Blyzinskyj swims 55.62 in 100m Back
to take 8th at UK Championships/Olympic Trials

4/4/16: Blyzinskyj wins "The Florida Way Award"
Former WHS Standout Jack Blyzinskyj ('13)
was recently honored with "The Florida Way Award" in an event on the University of Florida campus. Held at the school's Phillips Center, the award is given annually to an athlete who demonstrates honesty, integrity, work ethic, and compassion. |

2/21/16: Weston Girls are #2 at State Meet,
also receive MIAA Sportsmanship Award
On Sunday, 2/21/16, the Weston Girls took 2nd place
at the Mass. Division 2 State Championship Meet.
Just before the meet, the MIAA recognized Weston
as the 2016 Division 2 Sportsmanship Award winner.

2/20/16: Weston Boys take 5th straight State Title
and 24th State Championship in the last 34 years
On Saturday, February 20, 2016, at the Boston University Pool,
the Weston Boys took the 2016 State Team Championship
despite not winning a single event. The team did not take the lead
in the meet until the next-to-last event.
Prior to the meet, the team was also honored with
the MIAA 2016 Sportsmanship Award for Division 2.

1/24/16: Weston Girls take 30th Annual Bay View Invitational
On Sunday, January 24, the Weston Girls Team
took their third-ever Bay View Invitational Title.
Their first such honor since 2003,

by more than 100 points,
despite not winning a single individual event.

1/9/16: Weston Boys take Read/Watmough Title
On Saturday, January 9, the Weston Boys Team
took their seventh consecutive team title
at Rhode Island's Read Watmough Invitational.
Held at Roger Williams University, it was the team's
12th victory in the last 13 seasons.
