Joseph G. Maguire was born in Brookline, July 10, 1950.  Joe attended Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School, and graduated in 1968.  Following high school, Joe attended Harvard University, and graduated in 1973 with a degree in bio-chem.  Among other teams, Joe coached the Shawmut Aquatic Club, the Weston Swim Club, and the Lincoln-Sudbury boys' swim/dive team.  He was named both the Eastern Mass Interscholastic Swimming Association Coach of the Year and the Boston Globe All-Scholastic Coach of the Year, for his accomplishments with the Lincoln-Sudbury boys' team.  Joe was survived by his wife Kate, and his son Andrew and daughter Maggie (aged 11 and 9 at the time of his passing.)
