4/8/18: Boston Globe names six members
of WHS Swimming & Diving Program to All-Scholastic Team
In the April 8 edition of The Boston Sunday Globe, the 2018 All-Scholastic teams
were announced. Rookie Jacey Hinton was named, individually, for the Girls' Team
in the 100 Free (51.10), Weston's Girls' 400 Free Relay made the team (3:34.82),
and junior Dale Nickerson was named for Boys' Diving (580.80).

4/8/18: EMISCA cites five members of Tide Coaching Staff
On Sunday, April 8, at the Eastern Mass. Interscholastic Swim Coaches' Association's annual Banquet,
five members of Weston's coaching staff were recognized. Jack Lewis was awarded Diving Coach of the Year,
Mike Gavin was named Assistant Coach of the Year, and alumni Tucker Wetmore, Rowan Frankel,
and Graham Frankel received Meritorious Service Awards for their volunteer coaching, for the past 7 seasons.

2/18/18: Tide is 4th at MIAA Div. 2 State Championship
behind Nickerson's win in the 1-meter Diving
On Sunday, February 18, Weston's Boys' team took fourth at the State Meet.
Junior Dale Nickerson took the one-meter diving event with an 11-dive total
of 571.25 points, a margin of more than 30 points over second-place.
He also won the Scott Pomerleau Award for the second straight year,
given to the diver who scores the most points on a single dive, at the meet.
Senior Tom Yu (3rd in 100-yd. Free with a 48.69) and sophomore Ben Guzovsky
(5th in the 500 Free with a 4:48.18) also placed well.
All three of Weston's relays cracked the top-eight.

2/17/18: GLOWS take 2nd at MIAA Division 2 State Meet

On Saturday, February 17, Weston took the runner-up spot at the
MIAA Division 2 State Championships. Freshman Jacey Hinton won the 100 free.

Grazi Vezza (25.56), and mila Schowtka (24.62), also grabbed first, in 1:38.09.

Freestyle Relay team wins two
On Saturday, February 10, Weston's Girls competed in the North Sectionals. Freshman Jacey Hinton took four wins.
Her time of 1:51.04 in the 200-yard Freestyle established a new Meet Record. Her clocking of 56.13 in the
100 Butterfly set a new Weston School Record, breaking the previous mark of 56.35, set by Julimar Avila,
during The GLOWS State-Title-winning season of 2015. Hinton also swam to some impressive splits on both
Weston's Free Relays. Her 22.85-split for the 50 Free on the second leg of the 200 Free Relay was an all-time
team best, and her 50.57 anchor for the 100 Free in the meet's final event, gave Weston a come-from-behind victory.
